"Online" while connected to the server, and "offline" where display continues even when the line drops. Start with these two.
ONLINEMODE 01
Distributing online
The device is connected to the server (site LAN). Distribute from the console and it applies to the target device immediately. Just edit and distribute. Device state becomes 同期済み.
1
Prepare a layout and content in the console.
2
Pick the target device (Site → Building → Floor → Device).
3
Distribute. It applies at once and the device shows 同期済み.
OFFLINEMODE 02
Operating offline
Even when the line drops, the device keeps content stored locally, so full-screen display never stops. Distribute in advance and the latest notice keeps showing offline. On reconnect it pulls only the diff automatically. Device state is オフライン表示中 while it continues.

HOW-TO · Layout
Create a layout
Compose a screen from zones (rectangles). In the layout editor (S-23), drag zones onto a 16:9 canvas, set type, position and size, then save.
Add zonePick typePos / size (%)Save
zone = { type, rect:[x, y, w, h], z } // x,y,w,h は 0–100 の整数(%)

HOW-TO · Content
Work with content
Line up PDFs and images in a content zone (the playlist) and they rotate in order. Explorer-style operations let you drag to add, reorder, delete and rename. Images and PDFs are shown whole with contain. Notices don’t go in the playlist: place a notice zone in the layout and write the text there.
Add
Drag PDFs and images into the playlist.
Reorder
Drag to change the display order.
Delete / rename
Remove unneeded items, rename them.
Distribute
Bind to a device and distribute.
Video, Microsoft Office documents, and web pages are not currently supported. Files larger than 100 MB cannot be uploaded. We will announce availability when it is decided.
HOW-TO · Devices
Register a device
Get a device, connect it, register it in the console and place it on site. See the Devices page for supported hardware and specs.
1
Flash the image
Write the KaBase image to a microSD (16GB+, A1/Class10).
2
Connect
Attach HDMI (1920×1080), power and site LAN, then boot.
3
Register the device
Follow the guide to register the device ID (e.g. client-001) and location.
4
Distribute & verify
Distribute a layout and confirm it appears. Done when the state reads 同期済み.

State & error reference
On-screen state strings are your diagnostic hints. Look up cause and action by the message or device ID.
⌕7
黒画面Display stays black
CAUSE
Video output, power, or resolution mismatch.
ACTION
Check HDMI and power; set output to 1920×1080.
時刻ずれClock zone drifts
CAUSE
Device NTP / timezone issue.
ACTION
Verify device NTP and timezone (JST).
掲示物なし"掲示物はありません" is shown
CAUSE
No content is assigned to this device.
ACTION
Select the device in Control View, assign a layout, distribute.
オフラインA device shows "offline"
CAUSE
Line is down; display continues, only sync pauses.
ACTION
It auto-syncs on reconnect; if persistent, check LAN wiring.
保存失敗"保存失敗: {message}"
CAUSE
Layout save failed; {message} carries the reason.
ACTION
Read {message} and retry; check permissions, capacity, network.
同期待ち"同期待ち" is shown
CAUSE
Device is awaiting distribution — server unreachable or nothing distributed.
ACTION
Check site LAN and server reachability, then distribute a layout.
USB 未読込Inserting a USB drive does not load the setup or the update (a device not yet set up keeps showing "Insert a USB drive containing the setup file")
CAUSE
The drive is formatted with something other than FAT16, FAT32 or exFAT (e.g. NTFS or a Mac format), or the file is not at the top level of the drive (it was put in a folder) or was renamed (e.g. the browser saved it as "kabase-setup (1).json"). The device looks only at the top level of the drive, for the setup file "kabase-setup.json" and for update files (.zip) whose names start with "signage_update".
ACTION
Put the file at the top level of the drive (not inside a folder) under its original name. If the format is wrong, reformat the drive as exFAT or FAT32 on a PC first, then copy the files again. The device never writes to the drive, so the Wi-Fi password in the setup file stays on it — collect the drive after use and delete the file on a PC.

Technical support
If the docs don't solve it, include the device ID, the state string and the time — it speeds up diagnosis.
